Wow! That seems like a pretty deep scratch markylicious! From your pic it seems as though the scratch has put a small dent in the door. Quixx will work on the finer scratches, but that deep one looks pretty severe. Try using touch-up paint along the deeper scratch. Apply a light coat of paint, let it dry for a day or two, then follow up with another coat of paint, or a coat of clear. Wait a few days for the clear coat to dry and then lightly wet sand the area with the sand paper that comes with Quixx, and apply the product as per the instructions. The scratch should be barely noticeable if done right. The only problem I see would be the dent. There's a lot of places that offer paintless dent removal. You could always give them a try. Keep me posted on your progress!

Still, $100 to repair the dent is not too bad. Does this include a new paint job? |

100$ for the paint job AND dent fix is well worth it.
I'd send you quixx if you paid for it and shipping lol and thats ridiculous I am at the library atm since my net died at home and I was pulling in and some guys on the road almost made me hit a person heading opposite way from me, god damn indians.

Dang. If you can get that done for $100 jump on it. There is no way anyone who would do even a half-ass decent job out of their home garage would only charge $100 here lol
Good luck and I hope it gets fixed soon :) |

Don't let her fool you. If you get it done for $100 JB will be all over that...she might need something like that for the front of her car... :P

I will be trying it out this weekend when my touch-up paint comes in at the dealer. I picked the kit up at Walmart for $14.99 :)
Sunday I hit something on the highway and cracked my front bumper, so that is why SQ was making fun of me :P He's so mean to me. lol But, my bumper may be cracked - but the two little scratches on my driver door will be gone! With a black car, that white scratch shows up insanely well. I will post before/after pics when I'm done :) |

On that big scratch now that you have it filled and fairly hidden you can try some rubbing compound to blend in the area then start working it up to a clean shine using differant grades of polish....I had one on my buddies car like yours and it is gone unless you are really looking for it.
buffer helps to polish it quicker and more evenly....keep working it man you can get it to go away. |
