TRDSparks doesn't mention it, and lots of members bought the TRD muffler from them. I dunno... as a consumer, I would definitely appreciate being told that the muffler is meant for a particular bumper, and if used on a different one (i.e. USDM) and it's touching, you should not drive with it or expain how to fix it, etc.

My $0.02.

Ran that exhaust looks like shit.. you should pack it all up at once, and send it to New Jersey to be taken care of.

No, really.. you should!

the trd muffler was put on a stop sale from toyota. you have to convince the parts guy to go ahead and order that part. trdsparks had ordered alot of them beforehand and i believe two months ago he only had 4 left.i havent checked latley. toyota is/was going to release a usdm version due to the fact of possible fitment issues. any imported muffler will be only designed for the jdm body versions unless otherwise noted.

as a consumer we must remeber to ask about fitment issues. if that company tells you that fitment will not be an issue then they should be liable.most of us are aware of the body differences

Dear Nathaniel,

We're sincerely sorry about your situation. We were not aware of the
fitment issue on the Yaris exhaust due to the rear bumper, we are greatly
appreciated that you shared this info with us. We will take proper
action to modify this exhaust for the US market. We are not able to offer you
reimbursement for the cost of repair of your bumper, but we can offer
you a heavy discount on any part that we offer for the Yaris like the R-Viti-Color, intake, etc.

Thank you for your interest in our products.

I replied and thanked them for noting the situation and offering me a discount on another performance part. I humbly requested a deal on the R-FIT (Fuel Intensity Controller) for my Yaris. I'm now waiting for their reply. So far, the customer service at Blitz has been good.

I already melted my bumper with the TRD exhaust. At least you can't tell unless your underneath the car. Still not super excited that it happened though. I am glad nothing caught fire at least, and now that the tip melted part of the bumper off, no more issues!

Not to be a wise guy, but if the muffler is touching the bumper isnt it kind of obvious that it will melt?
