I pay about 1,000 a year for my 07 HB and a 2005 Pontiac G6. I do not carry full coverage on the Yaris. I live in Central Florida. When I lived in South Florida the same coverage was around 1,500

That's a great price. I have great credit and get discounts for house, multi-car, accident free, ticket free. With $1,000 deductible for full coverage I pay $412/year.

Geez, I'm paying $1,488 a year with Geico. 100/300 liability, $1,000 deductible collision. No accidents or tickets in 20 years. Am I paying too much??

Try shopping around. You'll see that you can get a much better rate for similar insurance. Shopping around every few years is actually not a bad idea.

Ah...the joy of being old, married and a clean driving record (no tickets/accidents since 1989). I think I pay about $600 per year for full coverage with very high limits, $500 deductable, free towing, free glass replacement and under-insured coverage. It also helps to be with the same insurance company for 20 years.

I’m insured in PA...
Full (Tort) Coverage 50/100/50 ($50,000 – Bodily Injury Liability/$100,000 – per accident/$50,000 – Property Damage Liability) $5,000 – Personal Injury Protection (PIP) $15,000 – Underinsured (not-stacked - only one car) $15,000 – Uninsured (not-stacked - only one car) Comprehensive – $500 deductible Collision – $500 deductable Discounts: New Car, Passive Restraint, Anti-Theft Device, Safe Driver, Accident Free Male mid-forties, clean record – no accidents, no points... Nationwide Insurance Present premium: $287 – six month $574 – yearly I just found out from my insurance agent that my premium will be going up Effective May 1, 2010 to: $301 – six months $602 – yearly I’d like to keep it under $300 for 6 months! Probably will have to drop it down to 25/50/25 and raise the Underinsured and Uninsured Insurance up to $25,000? It just makes me mad that law-abiding citizens are being penalized by paying insurance (way too much) for those who are obviously breaking the law by not having any insurance! *Sigh*

With USAA (open to military/prior military only), which is well known for having the lowest insurance rates around, I pay about $650 every 6 months. I pay Georgia insurance rates with a $500 deductible. That includes coverage for both me (age 22) and my wife (age 20). I have had many speeding tickets (I think I'm up to #5 now). My license is held in the state of Texas, which doesn't have a points system (AFAIK). Some of you guys are paying wayyyyy too much.
Full coverage on: 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan Liability on: 1998 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner Discounts: Multi-Policy discount (homeowners, auto, checking account, etc.) Defensive driving certificate discount New car discount (even though the Yaris is now two years old) Longevity discount (stayed with USAA for over 1 year) Several safety features (Daytime running lights, alarm system, etc.) Sometimes being in the military isn't always so bad. -Brian |

I pay about $176 a month for full coverage with Progressive Insurance. I'm 21 years old with a clean record (minus a ticket I received for not wearing my seat belt with my old Camry. The seatbelt didn't work anymore, and I was going to get it fixed right when I got the ticket. It was awesome). The rate, to me, is insane. I used to only pay $76 a month, but I found out that if I go with AAA, my rate will be between $110 - $125 a month.
What sucks is that Progressive charges $50 for canceling, but I'll make up for that money within the first month of going with AAA. |

I'm 23 with a clean record too, no accidents or tickets ever.
And the only reason I got quoted so much according to the agent is because of my lack of years driving which is bullshit because this year will be my 6th year driving. How fucking long do they want you to drive so they won't charge you an arm and a leg? 100 years? |
