let me know how the shallow mounts work and what air space to they call for ?

Pioneer shallow mount subwoofers use air suspension technology to replicate the base of larger performance subs without the high space requirements. They are available down to a mounting depth of 2.5" with a space requirement of .6 Cu ft, and are available 8, 10 and 12 inch applications.

Can you tell I just passed my Pioneer dealer cert last night? :-P

Oh I can go all night. First manufacturer to break 180db in SPL, courtesy of Scott Owens' 14 ton [read 28,000 pound] 2002 Ford F-250 running ELEVEN Pioneer Premier TS-W5102SPL 12's each powered by 4 D5000 amps. Yeah. 11 subs, 44 amps.
