The difference is you get some extra plastic glue on body bits and a couple of chrome S badges, for some its worth the extra $4k,makes them think their entry level econobox is fast and powerful

but, but, but, but those badges gibe me like 50 hp more, lol.

no but seriously with the 1.8L celica(180hp) engine tht lil econobox can run 14's and still get like 35MPG.

the 2009 corolla had the 1.8 with 150ish Hp and had a MPG rating of 29-36. sooo in a lighter car and you will be way faster and better gas milage.

ok its all about wieght and power bro. the corolla is almost 800-1000lbs more then yaris so if the power of the corolla is 150hp and the MPG is 35-36 the yaris is 106 and the MPG is 36 soooo in theory youd have to think that a yaris with 150 hp would possibly get 36-40mpg and a really good 0-60,lol.

The 2zz and 1zz were ment to rev and makes it power in the high RPMs. Just about all the other motors make power at lower RPMs but get better gas mileage

what id love it to get one of these lil cars with a 1.8 in it with 200+ hp and drive up to a shop that werks on hondas and tell them i wanna race them with my gas saver.

also what is up with the 1990 celica with a 2.0 is it a turbo or just a N/A engine?

Garm has a 1NZ motor bored to a 1.6 that is pushing 310 hp on 109 octane so you just have to take your pick. Oh I just thought of this if you swap for a 1.8 liter out of a celica you are going to have to convert your car from "drive by wire" to "drive by cable"

^ not sure if I get what you mean. Drive by wire is how the throttle butterfly is opened on the Yaris. You know most car if you want to rev them up from under the hood you just turn the pulley the the cable sits in well the Yaris doesn't have that. It is operated be electric signals from the modulator under the dash

wow that really has to go. a tb is way better then a electric modulator and it has better responce. ill be happy to get rid of that and go throttal cable all day long.
