lol...ummm, i tell everyone that "i'm not good with words." let's see, in your DIY, i assumed that you raised/lifted your Yaris when you installed your strut bar. then i found out that you didn't, so i was wondering if you are going to re-install it using the method of raising your car first.
lol...not sure if that helped. |

Strut bar ordered.
I ordered the strut bar today. J@C2. I will probably receive the strut Monday or Tuesday. I will post pic of install and the final result. Anyone have any install advise. I did find the DIY on Yarisworld. I believe its easy.

If you read the DIY, yes you need to lift (jack) the car up to remove the tires. Never removed the strut bar after installing it, so again, i have no idea what your trying to get at. No it didnt help, so lets move along while you gather your thoughts. |

discussing DIY
I'm confused about the above comments in the thread. The DIY strut install is very clear. I will receive my strut from C2 next week and install it myself. I believe its a easy job, right?
I believe its a great idea to replace the original fastners. Above car. 1. Jack up the car. (passenger side first) 2. Remove wheel. Under the car. 3. Install the two screws. 4. Install the strut holder. Above car. 5. Check the strut bar measurments. 6. Install the strut bar. 7. Clean up. That's it right? Rwseattle. |

Install
I read the Tanabe website. You have to raise the front of the vehicle and make sure the front wheels are off the ground so the shock towers are relieved and balanced out, correct?
Question: 1. Did you install both sides with the vehicle raised? 2. When you installed the strut bar did you keep the vehicle raised and how much did you adjust the preload. 3. Do I understand that you could change the bar settings? Thanks again. Ron W |

1. jack each side up.
2. support each side with a jack stand. 3. remove wheels. 4. install brackets as it shows in my DIY. 5. install bar. 6. tighten tanabe related parts up tight. 7. install wheels, remove jack stands, drive your car and stop trying to over think everything. |
