my next car. Handles great, fun to drive, the features are nice, and I still average 32 mpg.

Suzuki always sent the US the garbage cars. I wish we received the good stuff. That looks awesome.

If I could get one here, I'd have an Audi A4 TDI wagon like the one I drove in Germany for a few weeks in October...
![]() This beast did 37+ MPG (better than my Yaris) doing 200km/h on the autobahn, handled the B-roads like a Porsche, and was smooth and comfortable the entire time! Unfortunately, I just know the honeymoon would be over when it came time for maintenance or something broke, having owned German cars before... It is the only rental car I've ever washed! ![]() Cheers! M2

The Camry is another phenomenal Toyota. Lots of space. Huge trunk. Super smooth engines. I have a 2006 2.4l as my second car, mainly driven by wife. I've had the car since 2008, its done over 230k km, and all it's ever needed fixed is one coil pack. It doesn't burn any oil either, as I've always used synthetic oil in it.

I mainly drove high end European cars in the past, BMW, Audi, Saab, VW, but now I'll only drive Toyota or Lexus, due to their reliability. Suzuki, mentioned earlier, don't have good reliability stats. And currently I don't trust anything made by GM. Sad to say, although they look cool, they're not engineered anything as well as the main Japanese brands Sent from my LG G2 with CM13 using Tapatalk |

Current North American VW/Audi reliability isn't good, and I used to be a huge fan, having owned two of each. They were solid, reliable and awesome. My cousin has now had two Jettas, which were both terrible mechanically. I'm not sure how she didn't learn her lesson after the first one, but they were really beautiful cars in all other respects.
I no longer go by the German car thing either. My BM W 528i was a total lemon and cost me thousands in repairs, although it was an awesome machine to drive. I only trust Japanese now - Toyota / Lexus to be more exact. Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk |

Yes VW's drive great, but they are unreliable money pits and a leading cause of migraine headaches. I used to own a Golf, now I own a Yaris.

My buddy was thinking about picking up one of those Lexus'.
Not a Jeep man, but I'd be lying if I said that black on black Wrangler isn't good looking. |

i've been to the local subaru dealership and eyed the 2017 impreza. it looks really good and is built on their new 'global platform' which other than making it easier for them to build cars increases the structural strength a lot. having apple carplay is a big deal in my house too!
right now they are just trickling into lots and are popular based on all the buzz so i'm going to wait a few months when i have more negotiating room. |

I'm not purchasing my next car until 2020 or 2022 (I don't like odd-numbered years unless it ends in 5 - an OCD thing). Nothing much is on my auto radar really outside of possibly another Toyota-Made SE Yaris, if I like the looks of it in that model-year (and they are still being sold in the USA) - though I will go automatic from here on out, since I'm not getting any younger.
Perhaps the next-gen Corolla won't be the sad, weak/skinny-stanced eyesore that it is currently. The next-gen Camry looks pretty good from what I saw thus far, but is a bit too large for my taste in vehicles. Most of the newer cars just aren't being styled to my liking, and/or contain a lot of unnecessary "safety" tech-bloat for distracted/idiot drivers. Huge turn off, and will just lead to more costly repairs down the road as sensors/mechanisms inevitably fail/malfunction. iA - Can't stomach the horrible front-end bumper/headlight design, among other things. iM - Can't stomach the horrible front-end bumper/headlight design C-HR - Looks a bit to funky and weird, overall, for my taste. Trying too hard to be futuristic. Civic - Yet another goofy eyesore car from Honda Fit - Yet another goofy eyesore car from Honda Suburu Impreza - 2017 looks pretty good! Corolla - see above Last edited by Kalispel; 01-18-2017 at 11:44 PM. |

The Mazda 3 hatchback and the Mazda CX-3 are growing on me. Actually, Mazda design looks pretty good compared to most of the current Toyotas and Hondas.

I also like the overall look of the CX-3 (better than the C-HR or HR-V), even though I'm not really the crossover SUV type, but have this thing about oversized (or undersized) looking wheels on cars. The 16" on the base CX-3 trim looks too small, and the 18" on the higher trims look too big, so I guess that 17" would be the magic number for me on this vehicle. ![]() I've seen the back and forth about rust with Mazda, and not sure what to think about it. My sister (also here in AZ) has a top-trim 2013 Mazda3 sedan (previous model design to the current version) and I don't see any rust issues with it - but then, cars don't really rust very often in dry, hot AZ. |
