Talking

.

OHH I'm so happy! the rubbing it's gone!

I installed my new O.Z. Ultraleggera 16x7, 37mm offset, with 195/50/16 rubber! they are awesome, and about 7 pounds lighter than the OEM with snow tires I use. I also added a 10mm spacer in the back.

BUT... I was having rubbing issues on the rear axis. And thanks to people here in Yaris Wold, I got many possible solutions:

1. Take out 10mm spacers (for some reason there are stuck) and I really didn't want to do this.

2. Roll the fenders

3. Add a Camber Kit

4. Add a RING-TYPE COIL SPRING STABILIZER

So I started with number (4)- Spring Stabilizers, I installed them last night, put one OZ and went for a ride!

NO RUBBING, ok I went back home and put the other OZ and test them this morning on my way to work.

NO RUBBING!!!

The rear suspension got a little harder (not as soft) but feels really good! Lift UP the rear about 1/2 inch bringing the car to almost level with the front suspension the NF210s really make the car look like if I had something very heavy in my trunk, and now my car handles so much BETTER! like Loren told me about the Spring Stabilizers:

"Just jack up the car and squeeze on in on each rear spring. Will raise the ride height a little, and by removing an active coil from the spring, also raise the spring rate."

I'm still going to do the Camber Kit (there is no rubbing with full tank and my self but I bet once I add weight the tires will hit the fenders again) so this may help, I'm going to load my car and test it before adding camber. Roll the fenders as well! and if everything works well under LOAD I'm going to try to keep the spacer because looks so GOOD.

Thank you YarisWold!!!

08' Sedan S, 5 spd w/ 205/50/16 Yoko S.Drive on 16" Drag DR9s w/ 40 offst. Clearance on full turns were tight but no rubbing on full loads and over humps. GPS reading same as speedo or no noticeable difference. Stock 15s weighs 31.8 lbs (w/ 38k miles), new wheel/tire w/o TPMS weighs 41.2 lbs. Rides nice, awesome grip. Did a 40 on a 20 turn like nothin! A 1" drop will complete this project.

Hey StragglerX, love those rims. I've always been a fan of the black rim with the red stripe!

thanx landrym28, had a hard time deciding between high gloss finish and flat black. picked the flat coz i thought glossy is a bit too flashy like chromes. flat shows dirt easily though and harder to clean. what do u think of my clearance? should i just leave it alone or drop? what lowering spring should i get if i decide to drop? i'm thinkin a 1" to 1 1/2" drop should even it all around.

Just recently removed 5mm spacer on the rears now I have no rubbing what so ever. I do have some occasional rubbing when making turns on high speeds, very minimal though

Thanks. No rubbing. The tires are new and only had 10 miles on them when I took the pictures.
