That looks fantastic! Those leather seat covers look damn good, how difficult is it to get into your Yaris with that door bar?
Those carbon fiber accents are nicely done, is it a wrap or real carbon? |

Real carbon fiber wrap. An OG member Brian did them for me back in 2009.

You never cease to amaze. This has to be the craziest Yaris build on the planet.

Is the fire suppression system mandatory for your new speed goal or are you covering future possible bases?
Are those seat rail mounts custom made? |

That is the most basic form of the safety requirements. Custom brackets with OEM rails that have been welded in place. I bought an extra seat from a junkyard for 35 bucks. Sent from m-o-b-i-l-e

That is a good question. Just about anyone that doesn't do the type of racing I do has a clue how it works. In order for me to stay in the Production category the seats have to stay in. The only exception is putting in a passenger racing seat for ride along.
Also I pretty much never take any backseat passengers anymore so it really isn't an issue at all for me regardless. Sent from m-o-b-i-l-e

We have the kill switch just about wrapped up. Just need to tie in the alternator kill and will be good to go for this weekend's event. I am not sure if I shared or not, but because of a construction snafu I whacked the hell out of my rear bumper about a month ago. Thankfully for the most part the bumper is alright however it snapped the mounting points for the driver's side tail light. We decided to get creative and I am using the passenger side as the mounting point for my kill switch to save having to punch any holds in the body or trunk lid. This also meant that I can't use the Flaming River switch I had bought. I guess I will just end up listing it on Craigslist. Anyway here is how the kill switch turned out:

Well here is the quick and dirty on the Harvest Event for me:
Been battling fuel filter issues for the bulk of the year. At this point very stumped. Have had an interesting idea presented that the car has sat too much so the fuel that has been in the tank may have separated which can cause rust and corrosion problems for inline components. This tied to tuning issues made life pretty difficult and frustrating. Boils down to the loss of the job in February causing a full halt on progress for too long. Decent head and cross winds didn't help either. Bottom line is that I didn't hit even speeds from 2014 with a more powerful and free flowing setup. Disappointing to say the least. That being said having Dell, Spencer, and Jay there to assist was invaluable. I can't thank them enough. Fun too (even if I didn't show it). Another positive note is that I got to learn what it is like racing in close to full safety gear. I believe all that I would have to add is a Hans device. The car did run pretty well and nothing broke which is always a plus. It amazes me and pretty much everyone else how stout this 1.5l engine truly is. Lastly I got to spend some time with the racing family which I will always cherish. I will miss them all if I don't see them again. Once again thanks go out to #JrtCustoms #HoganTire #BlvdGraphix #DelewareChassisWorks for the assistance and sponsorships. Without them racing for me wouldn't be possible. Sent from m-o-b-i-l-e

Sorry to hear that it's been a rough season. Better that nothing broke, even if a speed record was on the list to break. ;)
