I wanted a 5speed LB with the power package. One dealer (the sales manager of a self-proclaimed "super dealer" - no joke) told me that the combination was impossible, and a car like that does not exist. I'm tempted to send him the photo of that non-existent car which is sitting in my driveway (from another dealer, of course). The bottom line: When your searching for your car, get as much information as you can and don't take any salesperson's word as gospel (for all you know they might have been working at the dealer a week). Talk to a bunch of different dealers, and spend a lot of time on yarisworld.com

Eventually, you'll get what you want.

Same deal here - dealer said that side curtain airbags aren't an available option in the region here. Of course, when they did the search, they didn't have any at all elsewhere. Wish we could wait 6 weeks to replace the current car... guess they'll lose the sale.

Count me in as well. I haven't driven into a lake lately (!), but what bothers me is the thought of a collision taking out the battery; that kills off the windows [I]and[I] the electric locks!

Sorry, I'll lock my own doors, and wind up my own windows, thanks...
