i like to let the oven preheat, and then turn the oven off, and then put the entire light housing in the oven throw it on a piece of cardboard (so you dont risk the chance of getting the grill makes like you would on a hotdog :)

by headlight housing, i mean remove the bulb, wires, any rubber parts, and anything else that you can remove :)

it may not be "easily" removed, but just apply some preasure to it, and you shouldnt have any "problems" seperating :)

Just put the glue back in its place, around the headlights. If there is glue on the headlight cover, take it off and shove it into the black part. If that made any sense.

So this has nothing to do with smoking the headlights, right? This is just basically painting a bezel similar to the chrome headlight covers sold on ebay?

umm yer just painting the inside of the headlights a different colour.

Though its been called "smokin" but then again smokin can mean "tinting" the headlights.

I'm planing to do this mod also but im very concerned about water vapour or moist getting through the seals. Is it possible that once the glue is melted it is no more reuseable?

the glue will only soften so its easier to pull apart. Once u painted everything u want to paint. Then you easily put it back together with the same glue. The glue is "reuseable"......

Looks great! How long does it take for you to complete this job? I see lots Jersey Yaris drivers here... however I haven't spotted another Yaris hatch in my area yet... did see a 4 doors in the mall parking lot last week.. I parked right next to it..
