I did 255 thousand kilometers that is around 158 thousand miles. The engine is still running strong and my auto transmission. I drive mostly on highways. My issues started after 200 k. thermostat, front bearings and fuel pump and filter. That is all I had issues for now.

at about 128,000 miles and so far I've had to replace the water pump only, as far as anything crapping out on me. I've had the SRS light coming on and off lately but the car drives just fine, so I'm not going to worry about it for the moment. Never hit anything with the car so I can't understand why the SRS light would be coming on.

208,193 miles on mine....only tires at 70k, an air filter change, and oil/filter changes until replaced front wheel bearings at almost 111k. Since then only Battery at 138k, tires again at 140k, headlight and rear plate bulbs once each between 140k and 171k, alternator at 159k, oil/filter changes, serpentine belt and rear brake adjustment and cleaning (front and back brakes only 20 percent worn) at 207,135 miles...and bought some 50-50 coolant mixture at the stealership (belt and brake adjustment not at stealership) and added coolant to bring overflow reservoir to proper level. I bought 4 spark plugs at the stealership yesterday (Denso iridium) and will have the belt and brake adjustment place put them in....then back to a stealership for an engine air filter that I'll put in myself.

We have only one yaris at work with around 100 000 miles (100% of city driving). The older they get, the shittier they get too, so we try to avoid the older cars and the recent ones are quickly making more mileage.
The cars are beaten, so many parts were changed. |

I'm at 250,000km and nothing majorly wrong (knock on wood) yet. I do have the ABS issue but that's it other than normal maintenance.
Synthetic oil is not just a myth for offering better performance than crude oil. I've posted some advantages below. I've bolded MY personal reasons for switching to synthetic based on my own situation (taken from Wikipedia):

Its nice to see this car lasts. I love mine and don't really have a "dream car" or anything I want to upgrade to. I hope to keep my car until isn't un-drivable!

Just turned 100K. on 08 sedan
2 major side swipes, fixed on insurance dime. Occasional CEL for Throttle Position Sensor since new,had it replaced under warranty but cel still throws a P2121 every once in a while, just clear it with Scangauge. Fully loaded with family right rear bottoms out on bumps.. Great economical Daily driver but my 05 Echo is more trouble free
