Well, i just heard that the payout to me will be about $450, since the beast held its value so well (they assessed it at 10,800), so witjh what I had owing, and the 500 deductible, my total is 450 or so.
PLUS, i get a tax credit letter ($700 ish) and the 500 deductible back if it is officially the other guy's fault, plus maybe the fee for the GAP back since I didn't need it. That may help big-time with rims and tires.
Not as bad as I had feared, not as good as I had hoped. Can't ask for more, really.

Well, good luck with your new purchase! You ARE getting another Yaris right?

At least it's the best time to buy a Yaris since the time they came out. It's the first time I'm seeing incentives being offered, plus inventories are at their highest levels as sales have declined.

So, another 3-door, how about a 5-door?

BTW, how many miles did you have on your '07?

Definitely another Yar. Perferably 3-dr, base model, with stereo of some sort, no power package, manual, etc. no frills.
Had 35,000 on the old one..

Woo-Ho! New car driven home about 15 minutes ago. Black 09 3dr LB.
With the "incentives", I have the same options, same extended warranty and GAP insurance, and am paying $50 less per month than with the original car.
Plus - and it's a nice one, the tires on this are Goodyears, not Bridgestones.
Still gonna dothe rims, etc. wjhen $$ allows, though, but don't hold your breath.

Congrats! Let me know if you want to meet up on a nice Saturday or something and go for a cruise through town or something. I'm long overdue for some pizza in Jamestown at the Village Hearth.

Dood, it was dark when I got home, so no pics. I'll take a couple tomorrow with Bambo, since I had some of him on the last car.

I'm definitely up for the New england meet, and wouldn't mind a get-together sometime. Pics of the Yarii at Beavertail?

Oh, I really like that idea. We could just park them and let the scenery speak for itself. Both being new, our Yarii will shine nicely. I'm sure once people see some coastal scenes from our neck of the woods they'll realize there's a lot of niceness here in our little state.

I'm glad to hear you weren't hurt in the accident and it seems to have worked out well for you in the end. The added standard safety features of the 09's really make them superior in my opinion. Good luck and safe driving.
