I just thought it was an odd thing to say because while it makes perfect sense to ask someone "Know how to drive a stick?" it makes less sense to ask someone "Know how to drive an RWD/FWD?"

As for driving in snow, I won't take the Yaris out on the snow because I tried it once last year and slid straight through an intersection. Scared the shit out of me. Of course I didn't have winter tires on it and I'm not bashing FWD vehicles or the Yaris as this situation was more about the car not being prepared for winter driving.

To your point, I agree that FWD is better in the snow and wet than RWD.

Your point is why I dislike a lot of the modern safety features. People no longer need to know how to drive a car properly. But I will avoid hijacking this thread with my ranting , if you want me to ramble on about how our safety features make drivers unsafe start another thread and I will be happy to share my opinion.

I usually get "is that a hybrid". Kind of gets irritating. The worst though, was a friend of mine:
"Oh, is that a hybrid?"
"No."
next day
"Oh my friend was telling me how you drive a hybrid, hahaha you can't haul anything in that, what's the point?"
"it's not a hybrid, and it hauls ass..."
":O"
