Haha, I made them out of vinyl. Since the actual eyelids are near unobtanium as I have no contacts in japan anymore, i had to settle for the vinyl. Came out good, though.

so how did you get the vinyl to be the same color of your car? spray paint?

No, it's just plain glossy black vinyl. I got lucky in the color, actually. If you look at them close you can see that they don't quite match - but I figured glossy black would be the closest thing I could find so I just went with it.

lol may i also ask where'd you buy it from? i'm shopping for it but im having a hard time finding a good quality vinyl. i dont know much about it but since you used one yourself, i HAVE to ask! ebay? amazon?

ebay. I just searched glossy black vinyl and bought the cheapest one I could find lol

it sure is :) Best color, IMO. I got super lucky that's the one they found for me.

I'm thinking of doing the b-pillars and the side mirror mounts / triangle plastic pieces on the front of the door, but we'll see. Gotta figure out how to get all those pieces off, first...

With each piece I get slightly better at doing it. Now I'm able to do weird shaped pieces much easier. I will leave the two blank spots covered until I put something there. (like fog lights!)



Here we go with some interior shots. crap, some of the vinyl is facing the wrong direction. OCD IS KICKING IN.









I think I'll do the piece around the shift boot, next. yes...that's a rainbow dash armband. GF's sister bought it for me for xmas lol.

Well, to start off, here's the ugly chrome piece, a little less ugly, and more carbon fibery.



Rolled the rear fenders today, and removed the collars. Looks much better me thinks. all these pics are right after messing with the front so it needs to settle. :p I'll snap better pics tomorrow of the entire car. I was hungry.





Lowered the front a bit more but it needs to settle I think, doesn't seem to have gotten much lower lol.



Exhaust is less than an inch from the ground now. yey.

it's another night where i have to stay up until 5 am to get in my sleep sched for work, so here I am again carbon fiberin' things out of boredom lol. Apparently I'm somewhat alright at this. Expect misc mini updates throughout the night ;) also, that's a helicopter on top of my monitors. (so I can give a flying F*%k)



Shift boot cover, etc. The gf was intrigued so she watched me do it :p



I also tried my phone case - but since it's an aftermarket extended battery case, it has big divots for my camera / light / speaker. So regrettably I am unable to do it with one piece, so that was a no go.

haha, that would be interesting, to say the least :p When I pull my front bumper I'll probably end up covering the flat black part of the grill in FC for fun.
