Thanks, Ryan! I was really sorry to read about your car. I had a suicidal deer throw itself on my old car so I know what that's like. I hope the rest of your birthday wasn't bad...I'm trying to ignore the fact that mine is in two weeks, something usually ALWAYS goes wrong!

It is gonna be really close. I hit a deer not too long ago, but the damage wasn't quite as bad as yours. Once you start bending and snapping mounts in the front it gets costly.

I'm pretty sure something on the frame is bent. The car was horrible to drive home.

I live in Stow Ohio. I own 2 2007 3 door hatch backs. I bought the first new. I traded in a 1994 Ford Escort Wagon. After driving my Yaris for a year, I traded in a 1998 Ford Ranger, for a used 2007 3 door hatch back. Since I dislike red, I had Macco repaint my second Yaris, you guessed it, Meteoritic Metallic. ;) I have mounted a after market Garmin navigation system behind the steering wheel on both Yarises. I took photos of both navigation systems as seen from the driver's wheel and posted the photos on the web.
I would be interested in a Yaris meet in Ohio. I did research on how much gasoline I save driving my Yarises over driving a Ford Escort or the Ford Ranger. I drove 16,000 miles last year. Using the EPA web site, I save 260 dollars a year over driving the Escort, and save 780 dollars of gas each year over driving the Ranger. And I reduced my carbon foot print by 4.55 tons of carbon a year. Last edited by ellenbetty; 07-01-2009 at 08:25 PM. Reason: make statement longer |

I seen a few other Yarises in Stow, blue 3 door lift back is the one that sticks to my mind. It will be interesting to see how Toyota converts the Yaris into a hybrid. I hope that Toyota makes the Yaris hybrid a mild hybrid, something affordable. It's a shame that I am broke buying 2 Yarises. I would have bought just one Yaris liftback mild hybrid instead.
I would like to have my 2 Yarises painted with stripes and lettering to look like Star Trek shuttle craft. Then get custom tags. It will take a while to pay off having my second Yaris painted Meteoritic Metallic. Buying my second used 2007 Yaris 3 door liftback eats up most of my spending money. Yes I have 2 Yaris 3 door liftbacks
I bought my first Yaris 3 door liftback new in March of 2007.
When my brother died, he left his Ford Ranger to my Mom. I bought the Ranger from my Mom. I drove the Ranger for a year to give my Mom time to adjust to my brother's death. I got tired of driving the Ranger. The Ranger is a gas guzzler. The Ranger is hard to park. I decided to trade in the Ranger for a second Yaris 3 door liftback. I searched the Internet. I found a local Ford dealer with a used 2007 Yaris with automatic. The second Yaris was red. So I had Macco repaint the Yaris meteoric metallic. Driving 2 Yarises (one at a time lol) is my way of getting the gas guzzling Ranger off the road (at least for a few weeks) and getting a fuel economical Yaris back on the road. |

Just picked up my new 2010 3 door liftback on Saturday! I took it through Amish country for a bit of a breakin and loved every minute of it!
It took about 3 weeks for the dealer to get it in, but it was worth the wait. The only disappointment that I have is the lack of a "VSC off" button. But that's a minor quibble... See you all on the road! |
