Do you have pics of the manifold? Is it log style or tubular?

Tomorrow, the xA gets pushed to the limits, the fueling and clutch holding capability along with the turbo will be maxed out. C16 this time around, with strait h2o injection. Should make for an interesting evening on the dyno.

halfway through the tune, the pulls were becoming inconsistent and the boost wasnt inreasing. The turbo took a crap. On a good note, before the turbo gave it was odvious that the stiffer valvesprings helped a lot. The car was producing power all the way to 8000rpm :)

yes, most likely a gt3076 . I believe my car eats turbos because of the high boost I run. Also, I may get a high flowing blow off valve such as a turbosmart race port. I think perhaps the turbo encounters surge when I shift. While Im at it, Im going to verify the oil supply and measure the cc per minute.

omg you are my boost role model. I think this was mentioned in another thread, I know you were running a stock motor except the rods. Is the valve springs the only thing you changed or did you upgrade the pistons also this round?

I imagine he had no choice but to get new pistons. He showed photos of the damage in his other thread titled "Finally, my motor went". Number 4 piston was damaged previously from a destroyed spark plug, and number 3 took some serious pounding when the valve dropped. Just wondering what piston set he went with and if there was any damage to number 3 rod.

Same bottom end, pistons and all. Just a replacement head decked and supertech valve springs. I was amazed that the motor pulls 20inhg vacumm after seeing my clyinder walls scored.

Amazing! Any additional support to the main bearings? Curious to know who's rods your running and if the crank is stock.

My build focuses on trying to achieve good numbers and reliability without spending tons of $. xbgod boasts about his $40k motor build, and is producing the same numbers without spray. 90% effect with 10% of the effort (and $) is what I aim for. Don't get me wrong, I use all good parts. Haltec and return fuel sytem are running the show.
