Thanks Revsson. Not sure if the Meteorite Metallic is the same as this, it's called Medium Silver Metallic in our part of the world. Yes those are factory fog lights.

Tein S-tech over Stock shocks
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tein S-tech Springs with Stock shocks combination. Hi to all!! I am quite new to this forum and i bought my car since 07/08. I am kind of late to be a member. Anyway, I have an inquiry about suspension which is i know it is been a question by many already. I really want to make sure before i proceed. What can you say about using The Tein S-tech lowering springs with the stock shocks?? Right now, i dont have the budget to buy the shocks yet but, I already have the springs. Although, i bought the springs used roughly 2 years old one of the members here? 1) Is the springs to soft or to bumpy if i use the stock shocks with this springs? 2) Does tein S-tech springs sag a lot?? 3) Are the stock shocks a good combination for the TST springs? or a must that i buy a new shocks? 4) do they last? becauseby the time i bought the shocks, teh springs is no longer good? 5)what can you advise will be the best shocks that i can buy that is really good to the budget for a bum like me which of course can deliver long lasting performance. Appreciate all your feedback in advance guys!! |

I was using this combo for 1k miles..stechs on stock shocks and felt it sucked..OEM shocks felt overwhelmed, invested in some tokico blues from Garm and this is a match made in heaven...stechs with blues, worth every penny..do it right or don't do it at all

My Modifications So Far
Lots more to do, but this is how my '09 looks as of yesterday. Most work done on the rear (reason for the rear pic). 17x7.5 chrome rims, 205-40/17 +40 tires, debadged, tinted 20% all around, blacked out sombrero (both ends), new Altezza tail lights, homemade rubber bumper protector, wing (pro painted and mounted), TRD Sports emblem and black skull on rear hatch, some interior stuff like LED dome changeout. Much more to do, such as fog light install, addition of emblems (VVT-i below side marker lights and TRD grille emblem), Ventshades, body side molding, eyelids, and more.

Lookin' good chrisj! Can't wait to see it all done. BTW, how much was the ventshade? Is the the one that goes on the outside or the one inside the gap of the window?

I ordered and tried installing the in-channel vent visors, but they just didn't work for me. I was pissed because of wasting $45 on them, as I couldn't send them back. Unfortunately for me, I started doing some cutting to make them fit, which only made it worse. lol
I have reordered the normal outer ventvisors for all 4 doors (same price...about $45). I had those on my truck for years without a problem. I love the look of the in-channel it just wasn't in the cards. Thanks for the comments on the car. :) |
