If it's Prius compatible, i don't see why it shoudn't work.

And, as the sedan doesn't have a rear wiper can we assume the Camry's stalk would be in play for us?

OK, so CTscott says the 84652-48060 won't for work hatchback rear intermeniant wipers but lambros says it works for his.
For the people who got their rear wipers to have a intermeniant setting, can you post up your part numbers? |

I don't specifically say that it won't work. I only listed the ones I was sure would work. If someone else tried the 84652-48060 and it worked, then it will for you as well.

Jeez...I get the impression folks on here think that Scott is a human catalog of "what if" parts to try. The man has supplied info on what works and works well....so I go with what he has researched and proven. why not? His info is bullet proof in my mind.....not questionable like some info on this thread. |

Can confirm that part number 84652-04141 (for Tacomas/Tundras) works in my 2007 sedan. Got an aftermarket switch off ebay for a fraction of the price of the OEM unit (~$50USD). Functions and looks identical to OEM, but the "click detent" might not be as nice when physically moving it. Relay is also a bit more audible, but not enough to drive me bonkers or anything. Time will tell how it holds up. Thanks for sharing this guide!

AUSDM, I imagine would be the same as JDM or NZDM.
https://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sh...tent+wiper+RHD I've just done on my 09 NZDM hatchback, using Prius ZVW30 stalk. Works as it should. I've not checked the market rate for a second hand one locally but ex-Japan, the Prius one goes for up to high 2000 yen (cheap as chips) whereas 90 series Vitz or Yaris, you'll have to pay up to 10000 yen (these might be new) and a lot of the switches are the fixed interval intermittent switches. If you buy some other stuff thru proxy services, it definitely makes sense. Rear intermittent doesn't bother me at all, I would only turn it on once then off, if I need to back up after/during heavy rain, most of the time I would be driving forward (and don't need the rear view completely clear to check the rear vision anyway) By the way, this thread topic should be "variable intermittent" wiper, as opposed to "(fixed interval) intermittent" wiper, although we all get the idea. I did rough check with a stopwatch, fixed interval intermittent: ~3.5 seconds variable intermittent 1: ~2 seconds 2: ~4 seconds 3: ~7 seconds 4: ~9 seconds it feels like the in-between settings give more adjustability but can't be sure, might be the operator error with the stopwatch. |
