I, like many others in this forum, could have Lexus, BMW or Benz but we chose our Yaris for that Toyota quality that has brought them to the #1 car manifacturer in the world.... oh yeah... the price and MPG helped a bit to, can't pass up a good deal when ya see one

Sorry if I gave the impression that the only reason I bought the Yaris was money, because that is not the case. Its an awesome car.

My age!

I think some Yaris reviewers mentioned something true..Yaris is aimed for young people, whose buying capabilities are not are not fully developed, and when they get a better income, by having a great experience with a Yaris, they will buy Camry..

by the way i'm 27

Then there's this 55 year old who got tired of the 2005 TRD 4 dr Tundra and decided the right thing to do was give up the egocentric gas hog. Euro versions of the Yaris are better appointed and driven by adults with no plan to upgrade as income increases. In this house we're downgrading to an early retirement. The decision was work harder for a more luxurious car or do something fun and give back to my community....full hippy in a Yaris for me....
Just wish the bastards at Toyota would've let me buy a diesel!!

I’m 44. Don’t have a Yaris yet, but a Bayou Blue LB is in my very near future.

I'm 27, and my YarisHB was actually my first "new car" purchase [had always purchased used cars, previously]. I will admit, price was a HUGE factor in deciding on this car. But so was a bunch of other things, like Toyota quality... or fuel economy... or how I'd always previously owned domestics and had TERRIBLE experiences with them [and who ISN'T owned or part-owned by GM or Ford these days?]...

...and well, principle was a huge part of it too - I like the way Toyota runs their business, and I think the princples by which they run their company (continuous improvement, respect for people) are admirable.

25! Quite relieved to see so many buyers my age or older as so many people in the Australian thread appear to have been born in the late 80s! Was starting to feel v old!!!
