If you look in the lower right corner of a post two blue boxes say "edit" and "quote"
that shade of blue is the color of my 2010 Yaris. I chose this color because my 1998 Honda, Civic was gray. There were so many gray cars on crowded parking lots, I always had trouble finding mine. Nothing is more embarassing than having the security guard drive you around the parking lot to try to find your car. It happend to me once or twice. |

I got white, and as I bought used I had to look a while. I got it, and the windows dark tinted, because it looks cool, literally and figeratively! Doesn't fade, and covers the dirt pretty much.
I havn't heard any mention of visiblilty issues in a color choice, and by that I mean other drivers seeing you better. Maybe with the daytime running lights not a big issue? But, I seem to remember some study done years ago, don't ask me where or when, and it showed silver was a color involved in lots of crashes Last edited by Idahotom; 11-02-2010 at 11:00 AM. |

Had Flint Mica, love it but come dirty easely. Crashed it last winter.
Since i crashed i decide to choose a color i'd never get bored. So i now have a Silver 1E7. But i like dark colors cuz i think it makes the car more "sport"... |

Got Meteorite because it looked like a more expensive paint seen on more costly cars.
The only red they had was a bare bones 5speed.

Mediterranean Mica because I've never had a red car before and at the time I thought it was destinctive. I now see a bunch of Toyota's everyday in that color, lol I still like it . Everytime I come outside I think, what a cute car.

White coz the other colours I liked would've cost $450 extra.

I'm a private investigator & wanted the least conspicuous color I could get. That probably means silver/gray. My choices at the dealer were red or white, so I picked white, hoping it wouldn't stand out too much.

Nautical Metallic Blue,
Because I like this 'classy' colour. However, if I'd known how pathetically soft the finish would be I'd have chosen a lighter colour to less show the scratches etc. It seems the slightest touch to the paint causes permanent, ugly damage.

I decied I wanted a red 2d HB manual.
The local dealer only had one manual on the lot. It was a "carmine red" 2d HB. So, I purchased it.

Same story, however, the Metallic, was the loss leader the day I got my car. To get a car for the news paper sales price is always a good thing.
