i prefer not in the morning....thats just me...here in texas you will see trees, roads, people, buildings, lots of trucks....pretty much the same thing as anywhere else. there now you dont need to sight see and we can have it in the afternoon!

well i can't say that the alamo is all that much to look at by itself but the whole overall river walk experience is pretty nice. better when you have time to enjoy it though. lots of nice restaurants and places to get your drink on.
were you trying to go to san antonio before or after the meet? i'm guessing after and that's why you would prefer to meet in the morning?

Well if the meets is in the morning then we have the rest of the day to spend with my family and take my wife to see some of san antonio and austin. We will be getting there late so its probably going to be after the meet, if its goiing to be in the afternoon then i am sorry to say we might not make it as much as i hate

I will be driving to Houston Friday night with my son. If anyone is there Saturday morning and wants to take over an IHOP or Dennys, hang out or go sight-seeing, please let me know. I would love to have something to do with my son and the group before the actual meet starts that evening.
I don't know where Chongo's place is but there's got to be something we can do as a group before that afternoon. Please, let me know. Especially JumpMan and Dandi. :) S.R. Last edited by SaerinRhoe; 10-18-2009 at 09:07 PM. Reason: typo |

Ok folks, I've been thinking about this and I think we really need to do something. We have 2 people from out of state that would like to be part of our meet this time.
I think that's outstanding and, although they have other reasons for coming to Texas, I think we need to show them some support and hospitality and have a little fun before our scheduled meet. I mean no disrepect to Chongo or anyone else involved with this month's meet. It's tough to get one of these organized for a local group or even a state group but we should pull together and take over a Dennys or an IHOP that morning and hang out during the early part of the day Saturday. Is there anyone else willing to show up Saturday morning for breakfast or brunch or something? Come on folks :) we need everyone's help to make it work. S.R. |
