Just signed up. Purchased a 2010 2 dr hatch, loving it so far, had a 98 Corolla that finally died at 410k miles. I can only hope that the Yaris will reach 250k with proper maintenance.
Anyone using high mileage oil? |

Hi everyone,
Been active on ClubFrontier, but now being married I have taken on the maintenance of my wife's 07 sedan and the forum has been a big help with common issues (any excuse to buy new tools!). Next steps, changing the struts/shocks and just bought new LCA's. Question: When jacking the engine/tranny for the LCA bolts, can i do this without loosening the bolts for the motor mounts? Or do I need to remove or loosen the motor mounts? If so, all of them? Lower only? 2/3? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Like with posting pictures, there may be a minimum post count you have to have before you're allowed to post a new topic. I'm not certain of that, but just guessing based on how posting pictures works. Try again when you get above 10 posts...

2015 Yaris LE
Greetings! Just got my Yaris over the weekend. Traded in my dad's 2003 Highlander so I'm happy to keep Toyota in the family. I really want to do a few things to personalize my vehicle and I'm hoping that I pick up some fun tips here.

Hey Yaris enthusiasts,
i'm new to the world of Yaris and surprised about the huge following this car has i would have never imagined. I own a 2006 Yaris 4 door hatchback in bayou blue metallic with the 2SZ-FE engine. It's my first car and i took it over from my grandmother in summer 2016 with only 9.890 kilometers. Currently stock and fun to drive in the twisties, but it it's on steelies and high off the ground like a bus, which needs to change. I want to have a compromise between style, race and daily abilities in the future. So i guess i'll go with lightweight 16'' wheels and some sort of sporty tire. Also not sure which coilovers or lowering spring i'm going to put on it. There are so much more options than i thought. If you have any wheels and coilover recommendations feel free to hit me up. Greeting from Germany. |

Hi folks, I'm new to the forum, but not my '08 Yaris. 176,000 miles, first new car in '08. Looking forward to finding some troubleshooting info here. My previous ride was a '94 Metro, 50 mpg...simple car. The Yaris has been a good ride over the years, would like to get 250k out of it before I get something else. Cheers!

Hey Guys,
I hail from a small island in the Caribbean called 'Montserrat', I am new to the Yaris World! I ordered a 2006 vitz rs hatchback 5 speed manual from japan and it arrived last week Thursday here in Montserrat. I would be clearing it from customs tomorrow and i am excited, I have posted some pictures of the rims i am going to put on it in the "Rims Thread" on the forum. I am no newbie to cars as i have previously owned a 93 honda civic dx d16, 07 honda accord cd7 h22a vtec & previously a 94 integra gsr B20 vtec. I decided to switch it up a bit obviously in make of vehicle and also engine size however i am thrilled to be apart of this community! and i am hoping for years of thrill, reliability and all around fun out of my Vitz! over the years my focus on building my vitz would mainly be about looks and sound! not interested per say in making it fast as one the reasons i bought it is for reliability and economic purposes (minimum fill ups at the gas station). As i customize the car to suit my taste and give it my flavour best believe i would be posting pictures in the respective threads according to what i am doing! big up to the YARIS WORLD & COMMUNITY!! Montserrat sounds like a really interesting place. Different members around the world have to deal with all kinds of different natural hazards, but "active volcano" is not a common one. ![]() Quote:
