Piggyback ECU upgrade
had a basic timing advance ecu when i changed to E85..but i felt like its not enough..
instead of going for cams im giving shot to piggyback ecu with more controls..so i took them out and installed piggyback ecu..advance timing is set same as before, now controls fuel injection(1jz injectors) and fuel cut at 7,000rpm(factory 6,500rpm)..no, i cannot pass 7,000rpm without proper cams and after market valves/springs.. it feels strong and smooth through out the whole rpm band, i think fuel injections doing its job..20170211_160939.jpg20170211_135138.jpg Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk

Piggyback ECU upgrade
Interesting... never heard of a brand called "Piggyback" - my logic when I read that is as if you were saying I drive a "Car" which in fact you do... but instead of calling it Toyota Yaris - they literally name it "Car"
Can you give us more info on this "Piggyback" piggyback? Can you tell us more about this basic timing advance ECU or was the brand literally called that as well and it's just not something found in the states? Did it only advance timing and not able to retard any timing? I have tried reading about the KKT 2.0 piggyback but I don't understand the language they speak in most videos that explain what it is and what it does. Do you recall the specs on the 1JZ injectors and why you chose them over the 1ZZ that are rated at 255cc? |

You can use an AEM FiC 6 (Piggyback) and still pass inspection. Has functions for two maps. I'm in New Jersey and can pass no problem.
I'm currently running and have been for a while a Blitz supercharger ect ect.

Yes retains stock Ecu. Think of this as an in between the engine and the Ecu. It sends singles data back to the Ecu to assume normal conditions meanwhile useing your own map. If you tune wrong you will throw codes. If tuned right you won't. As I said before. I live in New Jersey where state inspection is mandatory anything 95 or newer.

If we pass we don't get paperwork they just scrap off our old sticker and put a new one on. You are tho allowed to have 1 monitor not complete. As long as the rest are. I can use my torque app tomorrow and take a video of the monitors
