Higher milage 2010 HB, price seems high?

Hey all. I'm looking at a 2010 2dr 5 speed hatchback in the next couple of days. It has 106k miles and the seller is asking for 7k obo. Based on the pictures, it looks like it's in great shape, but the price is high for that many miles. KBB website indicates somewhere around $5k would be a better price, what do you think? Also, anything I should keep an eye out for?

Thanks!

$7,000?!

I just looked at the value of mine for shits and giggles (same year, model, trans, but with ~45,000 miles) and KBB lists it out at about $7,400! I'd look around and see if you can find one with far fewer miles for about the same price.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'll take a look at least and see if I get get the price down.

Politely offer him the lower/correct value for his car and just walk if he refuses.

Seems awfully high.

Your post made me look up the selling price of a Yaris I drive by every day, sitting on a dealer's lot. It's a 2009 with 155k miles and they're asking $7,800!

Yeah, I've noticed dealer prices on a lot of the stuff I've been looking for is a bit inflated.

I offered 5k and she was okay with that. I guess I'll see what happens.

It is called negotiation. People will always offer less no matter what a person asks.
