Whats the Diff between a JDM Vitz vs A US Yaris vs an Asian Yaris.
I just bought a Yaris in Singapore. It has the 1NZFE engine, does 109hp. It is made in Thailand, comes stock with 15" alloys.
However, there are some here who interchanged a (thai)Yaris oem wheel with a Vitz, and it would rub on the vitz on full lock. Obviously there are some difference under the skin between the two. So obviously if I follow the Japanese forums for wheel offset, I will be getting wrong advice. Your input will be appreciated. Bit by bit, hopefully we can build a list. By the way, where is the US yaris made in ? Some differences I notice between the Vitz and (thai)yaris. Thai ones have speedos to 220kph. Vitz has speedos to 180kph. |

I can't remember the offset of my wheels (I think it's 38?) but they're 215/45R17's and with the stock suspension they do not rub at all. Some have told me they will rub if a lower the suspension, but it's all heresay not experience talking. I'll double check the offset for you in the morning when there's some light out. As for the speedo, on my Thai Yaris it goes up to 200 not 220 :) |

I don't know if it's still available but the Eurasian version had an option for a 1.3L engine rather than the 1.5. The smaller engine dropped emissions even more and qualified for SULEV-II while the 1.5 qualifies just as ULEV-II.
Being a hypermiler I would have preferred the 1.3L engine but it simply isn't an option in North America.

My Canadian Yaris is stamped "Made in Japan", I'm not sure about the American Model. I recently saw an artical online about a 1.8L Yaris in the UK I think?
