Auto Shift Knob Thread Pitch

Hey guys I wanted to triple check before I drop the money on this and find out I got the wrong one.

What is the thread pitch of our automatic shift knob?

I hear its M8 x 1.25 but I want to make ABSOLUTELY sure before I order the shift knob I want.. its kinda pricey

thanks!

Yes - take off the old one and make sure the new one will go down to the right place, or you'll have a chunk of exposed shaft.

I bought a knob with a different pitch and re-tapped it.

It was the only way my wife could get a translucent purple skull shift knob!

Garm, you have only to head down to your local PepBoys, or AutoZone to find one of those. Or two or three - not a lot of trade.

But a pic would be nice.

sorry I missed this, I will snap one today if I can. This isn't a normal skull shift knob, it's HUGE. It's from a specialty place that makes knobs for hot rods and customs.

Good job that's an automatic - I'd hate to have to shift manual using that.

no joke! Good thing my wife can't drive stick, because she'd want it anyway. I tried to teach her once in my WRX....
