2. don't need to fully remove the bumper, just take out the 5 clips at the top and the clip in each fender well.

you can pull the bumper forward hinging on the under plastics to get at the bolts for the headlights...

to be honest, I looked, but I didn't find much other than people upgrading their headlights to HID or silverstars or something of that nature. I didn't look as hard as I could, because I found the FSM pretty quick.
