Do the bump stops need to be trimmed with TRD springs?
Tomorrow morning I'm installing TRD springs and Tokico blues into my 09 hatch. Will I need to trim the bump stops at all? The Toyota TRD spring install document doesn't mention it, and based on my searching it seems people are saying you don't have to.
I only want to remove the suspension once, so I'd like to get it right the first time. Thanks all! -Sean Keywords: TRD Springs, bump stop, tokcio blue, bumpstop |

Off the top or the bottom? I'm assuming bottom.

really shouldn't matter but bottom would probably be easier.

TRD's (1.25" drop) are not to be trimmed. There's nothing in the intructions to do it. They do say the same about the Tein S-Techs (1.4" drop), but I looked at their instructions and it comes as a class "A" to cut them.
I had cut mine because I originally had DF210's on my first Yaris, but then switched to the TRD's (DF210's were too low for me and not as stiff as the TRD's). I still rubbed on dips and such. My new Yaris, I left the bumpstops uncut and it feels better. Not rubbing/meling the splashguard anymore.

There is no mention of butchering anything in the TRD instructions.
