Unhappy Help w/ Auto-Dimming mirror install

Hey everyone,

Need a little advice on how to proceed. I bought a Gentex 455 years ago and never got around to installing it. I'm a newbie when it comes to electronics. So far, passed the wire harness through the a-pillar and down to the circuit panel. I bought a wire/fuse tap but, I'm not sure if I shoulda gone with a "mini" fuse tap for this install. Grounding the negative seems much easier.

One last thing, my model (455) is the basic model. No compass, no temperature.

Appreciate the insight.

I'm going by the instructions provided here (stuck between figs. 18 & 19) - https://sc.voxxintl.com/docs/common/...VGEN20A_IM.pdf

You could use a mini fuse tap, and do like this Tow bar wiring se page 8

Then you dont need to cut into any wires.
