New guy... Shifters for now...
Hi all. New here. Just picked up an '07 3dr. Really happy with it so far. I definitely have some handling/performance mods planned. Funny to say, but i could shred corners way faster in my '91 corolla sedan.. Maybe it just felt that way.. That or i was way more willing to hit the odd curb while apexing with it.. LOL. Anyways, the yaris needs to perform at a higher level!
First issue is the stock shifter. I've read tons of opinions, reviews etc on ssk's, bushings, and engine bay ssk's. I'd love to know what is the best combo for better shifts. Give me some real world feedback! Thanks in advance! KD |

I put engine bay ssk a month ago and love it. Shortens the back/forth, not the sideways motion, and still leaves a bit of play - but gear changes are quick and it snaps in and out of gear much quicker than stock, which let's me catch the engine before the rpm drops to idle between gear changes. Completely worth it.
