8' mini mal.

Yes, the hatch closes.....

...with the driver's seat reclined and I can even still use the arm rest!

Might even be able to fit a 9 footer?

Looking at this thread, it's plainly obvious that blue Yari can hold the most stuff.

When we bought our Yaris, we wondered if our camping days were
over (we had a van before) but NO, thanks
to the high roofline and our cargo carrier, we, as a
family of 4, can still camp with all our equipment!

Haha that looks like my car half the time! (I'm a mobile geek by day.) I fit several 19" and 17" monitors, 2 boxes keyboards, 2 towers and 3 laser printers in my car recently. Nice thing with the new TB acceleration was still pretty darn good. The 19" monitors weigh over 60lbs each, and the 17s weigh about 40+. I'm a regular at the e-cyle place. Usually drop a couple monitors and towers off a week, however they don't take printers or parts.
