Center exit exhaust - Opinions on this
Tell me what you think!
I recently passed up on a chance to test fit a local axle back dual tip center exit exhaust being developed in Toronto. The reason being that I have a hitch which I value too much for carrying bikes. That got me to wondering if this configuration would work for center exit with a hitch installed. Please excuse the bad MS Paint and very messy car.

It don't look right cause of the hitch. It looks like you've got a 3rd, square exhaust pipe because it is the same size. To make it look good, you'd have to make the two exhaust pipes bigger than the tow hitch.

A plug in the hitch receiver may help.

you could also change the tip style to square or rectangle style,
there for matching tail hitch. just another option for you. |

Agree with the others, try a work-up with square exhaust tips? Or one w/ a hitch ball in place?

I will dare say that I like it! On top of being functional. Plus from what I can see it looks like the hitch is recessed a little. Can you give a pic with a top view?

What you should do , is get a anti aircraft gun sight to putin the tow bar
hitch when it is not being used , with a big arse bumper sticker saying " BACK OFF I BITE " |

First post updated!
Feedback on this looks promising with only one 'No' expressed in the poll.
I have updated the first post to include better mockups showing a receiver plug in place, larger tips, and a new one to represent the look with oval tips. Please keep the feedback coming. Thanks all.

I'm not sure how this would work. Is there equal length tubing to each tip? They would meet up pretty far back if so, right?
Some of the Scion guys literally add a dummy tip to simulate a dual exhaust. Since this mod is purely for aesthetics, you might have more options than you think.

Doesn't look right with the center tow hitch between the 2 tips. If you want to keep your tow hitch, perhaps a twin tip (side-by-side) on the RH side would look better, IMHO.

What about a Camaro Z-28 style center exhaust? It is more square (rectangle, really) than round, and it is still very large. I think a body kit with center exhaust and a good lowering kit would look GREAT! The hitch would have to go, or you could just go with the two center pipes. They make the hitches that cut off under the body of the car and have an extender to put the hitch and ball on for when you need it. Just my thoughts. Do what YOU feel is great. That's the best opinion I could give to anyone. Drive On!
