Been gone a week...

Hello all,

I finally got the call to pick up my new Yaris. I was all ready to go when
my sister’s car died. She was scampering around trying to get her hands
on a quick decent ride and found a Toyota Camry - but it had 100,000
miles on it. I just couldn’t enjoy a new car when she was in such
dire circumstances, so I called the dealer and told them that I had to pass
on the Yaris and took my sister new car shopping instead. I thought
she would want a Corolla but she picked out a Scion xB and I bought it
for her.

I must say I never really looked at the Scion line before - I don’t know
why. Anyway, I fell in love with the xA - but it didn’t really matter, I blew
all my cash on the xB.

A couple of days ago I got a little surprise… My brother-in-law was
so touched by my gift he bought me an xA! It kind of defeated the
purpose of my gift though as I didn’t want them to have a new car
payment, but it was done.

The funny thing is, when my nephew saw the two old fogies in the
house with Scions he went nuts. Yesterday he traded in his car for a
new tC. Now we have all three cars in the Scion line sitting in our
driveway - it looks like we opened a Scion dealership.

Anyway, I met some nice folks here and wanted to say thanks for your
input and friendship. Good luck with your new cars!

Wow! What a story! Luckily this didn't happen after December cause the current xA and xB are going out of production, the tC will remain but the other two dropped. Scion will be coming out with two new models early 07. I visit the Scionlife site from time to time, maybe I'll see your posts up there, no I'm not a member but just browse through it. Congrats on the cars, but feel free to stay here.

Thanks, I probably will cruise this site from time to time. I still love
the Yaris. Besides, our cars are closer than cousins - both made by
Toyota both have the same engine and tranny - and I've learned a lot here.
I'm easy to spot on Scion Life I use the same screen name there.
