white yaris; white wheels?

Hey all,

I'm taking delivery of my Yaris sometime tomorrow. It's a white 5-door hatchback and I'm getting 17' multi-spoke wheels from ROTA. Its this design:

http://www.rotawheels.com/wheels.asp?wheelid=19

I'm leaning towards the white as I'm always been a rally-car fan. Opinions on what color? Gun-metal looks good, so does the gold wheels. Definitely not silver though.

Also, if I get the white, I'll probably have it redone since I don't like the shade of white. Probably something closer to the white used by Honda in their Type-R line.

Comments?

White rims are certainly unique because you don't see many cars with that. In my opinion I think the gunmetal color would be better, but thats just me. here's a pic of what gunmetal would look like on a yaris.

Thanks. It does look nice but the monotone theme is something I really like. Grey car with gunmetal wheels = white car with white wheels :)

What's the front bumper on that Yaris?

It's part of the S model. Thanks for the compliment. Go for the white one then :)

I like the white on white. Here's my old Neon with a fine set of Motegi's.

Barber's right on about the tone match. With a solid match and nice open rims like that, what's your thought on white calipers as well?

I love white on white. However, it is very difficult to find white wheels that match the body (I agree with the above posts).

Definitely can only be pulled off with a tone match. Mismatch = regret.

white on white means you'll be cleaning the wheels daily and the car every other day.

my silver yaris on flat black painted steel wheels looks good without taking a bath for months :D

it'll look good but you better like cleaning

I didn't have a problem. It wasn't any worse than any other color. Dark shows the dirt more. That particular wheel is hard because of all the spokes. My Yaris rim is easy to clean.

I had the white one white combo with my previous car. TE37's are easy to clean, and they were big enough for me to reach the inside of the wheel as well. I want to get another set of white wheels for my Yaris later on.
