My Yaris Fog Light
I have a toyota yaris sedan.
and i bought the aftermarket fog light from ebay. and it is not clear, not yellow, but smoked. and i also bought Putco's H11 light bulb. I installed it a month ago. at first, it was pretty cool, you can see the light directly through the glass. but after a few days, it became very "foggy". The light didn't go through the glass anymore, well, you can see the light but not clearly as headlight. does anyone know what's the problem? was it because the light bulb was too hot ? (6000k) or was it because the Smoked housing I got that temperature was too hot to burn my housing? |

Sounds like the Smoke film is on the inside of the lens , and you cooked and
burned the film from the heat of the lights , my guess for what it is worth . Put up some pic's |

Remove the bulb and see if the fogginess is moisture. Some of the aftermarket fogs don't seal well. The Putco H11's are 55W, which is the correct wattage. The color temperature doesn't mean that the bulbs run hotter, it's just a measurement of color output.

I checked my fog light a few hours ago, and i think the film is on the inside of the lens...that sucks....
but i'm afraid if i purchase a new clear lens fog light... it's gonna burn and become foggy again. |
