Well no luck with finding my back-ups I've gone through 3 hard drives and a shit load of back-up dvds and usb drives... all with no success. sooo I'm gonna bite the bullet and rebuild it from scratch again....

so if anyone wants to help me take the DIY post and convert them into word docs, let me know (it's the longest part - running spell check and fixing obvious grammar mix-ups)

I'll keep you updated as I am once again actively working on the next DIY edition

ps
If my DIY thread is missing anything feel free to let me know (I will also be looking for new ones, but extras eyes never hurt)

Would any mind if.....

Would anyone be opposed to me creating a standard layout for the DIY's and then simply shifting the content around to fit the standard? I would of course keep a link to the original thread and a link to the users profile atop the DIY in the manual...

I havent put together the layout yet, I'm trying the gauge the overall love or hate for the idea.

Great work on the DIY guide. The pictures are awesome! I just have one problem with it. I need to take my door panel off my 3dr to change the speakers and there's a hand crank in the way.(non-powered windows) Any suggestions on how to remove it?

There is a little "C" clip that's holding the handle to the crank. Cut a strip of old t-shirt about a foot long and 2 inches wide. Grab the ends of the strip. Slide the strip behind the neck of the window handle and wiggle it back and forth until the C-clip pops out. Remove the window handle.

To re-install it, put the C-clip on the handle before you reinstall it to the crank. Then pop the handle back into the crank.

or get a $2 window crank tool at autozone and not worry about rippin up any clothes...and being able to do it right with the right tools...

what i do is put in a plastic panel tool and roll the window in the direction the same side the tool is on...it seems to roll the clip out if you can hold the tool good enough. the tool is thick enough to push the panel out of the way so u can see in there.

PDF download

Hello, new to this forum and I clicked on the link for the DIY v3 manual and am brought to another page. The file loads, but the download button is grayed out.

How can I download the file??

Thank you all

Is there a way to download the PDF without installing eSnips. It looks like spyware.

Nice, thanks. I used the directions to dismantle my windows switch consoles as these were filthy (previous owner, not me!).

Dug out by googling the PDF file title!

Can we have someone volunteer to create a new version with all of the new DIYs added? I would do it myself however I suck at hyperlinking within a pdf. If someone can take care of that part I can build the starting doc.
