Covid brakes and rotors!

I recently had to replace brakes and rotors on my 2019 Toyota Yaris that has less than 18,000 miles on it. I was told the reason was that I did not drive it enough during covid. Cost me over $500. I filed several complaints to Toyota with no explanation offered to me. This car also has a recall on fuel pump. Anyone else have this brake and rotor problem on a fairly new car?
