The Greddy oil catch can was installed today. I'm glad it was easy to install because the instructions were in Japanese. It still took a trip to Lowes for tools and the auto parts store for a hose and some clamps.

Well not every engine is perfect. Some of the oil escapes from the head and is just pumped through the engine and out the exhaust through the tubes that connect from the head to the intake tube (between MAF and TB). With the supercharger (or any set up, really) its just a safety precaution to take that oil, put it through a filter (catch can part of the system), then deposit it back to the engine.

This small amount that comes from the head isn't really anything to worry about, most engines have some sort of system to deal with it.

However, since there is a supercharger there, there's probably going to be more oil than usual being dumped into that intake pipe which isn't great for the s/c.

[/correct me if I'm wrong]

This will probably be the next thing on my list of to-do's for my s/c, but really since it was installed any I went directly on vacation I just want to drive it for a while

Correct. For most engines, the small amount of oil goes directly into the intake manifold and back into the engine. I'm not sure whether these fine oil droplets will end up coating the insides of the S/C or not but I'd rather not find out.
