Question 2006 Yaris T 3 spirit 1.3 Auto

I know almost nothing about engines and wouldnt know a new part vs a faulty one.

So my Yaris 2006 model , 194000 kms done started losing power at times. Felt like no fuel coming through. By pressing the accelerator all the way down it will rev high for a few seconds and then 'kicks in' , running without issues.
This however became worse and worse and worse over time. Especially when it gets hot.
Unfortunately i was laid off work and unemployed for 2 months and couldn't afford any mechanical work.
Since the problem mentioned got worse I hardly drove the car. Maybe 1000 km in about 3 months.
Beginning of August the car could hardly do 30km/h. On my way back from work (6 km drive ) the inevitabil happened.
I got towed to a friends house and by the next day the whole motor was stripped. ( Friendly way to force me to use his father's services as a mechanic)
I was told that my head gasket has blown , 3 Conrods bend , I needed a new Oil pump , water pump , gaskets amongst other things. But luckily no damage to the head. Also found out that I was driving without a thermostat for about 4 months.
I do regular services (15-20k) on the car : oil , oil filter and 1000/1500 km's before breaking down I did oil , filter , air filter , Plugs on the car.
After paying off the "mechanic" for the Complete Overhaul and Major Service I finally got my car back. I was told to do 1000 km not exceeding 100km/h or 3000 rpm's. So I did up to 720 km and today out of nowhere it loses power , and hardly gets to 40km/h. Will not be driving anywhere with it , but need to figure out whats the problem here
