I'm old. I grew up on metal music. I've been computer gaming since it was invented. I had a few consoles over the years, but the PC is where it's at. I currently play StarCraft2 and Diablo3.
I'm also into muscle cars / grass-roots heads-up drag racing. I also like motocross. I guess I am an adrenaline junky nerd.

As far as "music" goes, i've been into many scenes. And I can tell you, there is one group of guys from New Jersey that stand out above ALL else.

The level of talent is INSANE. The guitarplayer writes most of the music.
The live clips are always a little rough, but I can assure you, the recordings on the CD's are pristine and amazing.

They play this particular song as an ENCORE after their main set.
Watch the whole thing, and you will understand just how amazing these guys are:

Thanks!

Never heard of Symphony X until now.
They should be writing sound tracks for movies.

Here's the studio version...

Michael Romeo, ( the guitarplayer/songwriter ), is a fan of John Williams and other composers. Romeo is our 21st century Mozart. The guy is talent without limits. ( And a really nice, humble person if you ever have the chance to meet him. )

Symphony X does not make 4-minute songs to be played on the radio.
They write epic masterpieces that stand the test of time.
They have been around since the early-mid 90's.

Here is an example from their latest release:
