Scion T1814 HU Question

Hey all,

I know a lot of you in this subforum do some crazy shit, and then there's a few of you that do more 'normal' things. Regardless, I need some advice.

I've been looking at Scion T1808 and T1809 HUs to replace my stock HU. I came across a T1814 for a good price, and I need to know if it is worth picking up or if I should continue searching for the more established 1808/1809 HUs. I preferred the 1809 because of the RCA hookups in the back. What I want to do is utilize the 8" Bazooka Scion OEM woofer with the Kenwood components in my front doors. Currently, the speakers in the back panels are stock, but that will change soon enough. I've got the good stuff up front for now.

These are some pictures of the T1814:

That will work fine in the Yaris. The two connectors on the right match the connectors on the Yaris HU.

Fantastic. They looked similar to me when comparing it to the back of a T1809. Thank you, sir.

Yes, that is it. I have had mine in for about two weeks now. The only thing I don't like is that the 'volume knob' is used for more than just volume. Although there are redundant buttons for changing tracks and scrolling folders.

It will plug and play just fine. I found that this one retains use of the AUX function, whereas some of the other Scion/Pioneer headunits have not.
