Finally, 450,000 miles on my 07 Yaris in 5 years

Hey guys, I finally turned 450,000 miles in 5yrs 2mths 1wk on 10/10/11. Sorry it took me sooo long to update my current mileage. But, seeing that driving is no longer my job, it takes me a lot longer to do the kinda miles I use to do in a short period.

Regular Maintenance:
1. Denso Iridium Spark Plugs ever 50k miles
2. OEM Drive Belt every 50k miles
3. OEM Oil Filter ever 5k miles
4. Any Synthetic Oil or Regular Oil with an Oil Stabilizer every 5k miles
5. Battery every year

Parts that are still working properly:
1. All Sensors (Oxygen, Crank, Cam, Knock, Coolant Temp, Oil Press)
2. Starter
3. A/C Compressor
4. Electric Power Steering
5. Fuel Pump & Injectors
6. Ignition Coils
7. Radiator
8. Brake Rotors, Drums, Brake Booster, Master & Slave Cylinder
9. Throttle Body
10. Engine
11. Manual Transmission

Here's a list of repairs that I've done on my Yaris so far:

6. Sway Bar End Links @ 451,000 miles on 11/2/11
7. Passenger's Side Rear Hub Assembly @ 457,000 miles on 1/13/12
8. Oxygen Sensors @ 459,000 miles on 2/8/12
9. Alternator @ 467,000 miles on 5/26/12
10. Clutch Slave Cylinder @ 468,000 miles on 6/14/12

12. Fan Motor @ 479,000 miles on 10/2/12
13. Fuel Filter @ 481,000 miles on 10/30/12
14. Fuel Pressure Regulator @ 492,000 on 3/22/13
15. Valve Cover Gasket @ 492,000 on 3/27/13

List of Acessories & Mods:
1. SUS Custom 2.5" Air Intake Kit

The interior is in perfect condition. Everything works, except for my driver's side airbag, which I don't mind because I'm not a fan of airbags.

I'm buying an 07 3 door hatch Yaris next week. I was a bit concerned that it's got 79K miles but I guess that's no big deal.

Great news, thanks for the thread!

It's around here somewhere...I think it's in the new member thread IIRC.

Found it, it's from Feb/march of this year...I've driven about 500 miles a week since then.

Do you have a bathroom in your Yaris.....because that's like 6 hours a day for 4 years. Some saddle sores to be sure!

Why a new battery every year?

Did they really fail in that time?

Or are you just taking no chances?

Why new sparkplugs every 50k when the manual calls for 100k?

Did you notice a drop in mileage?

Thanks and congratulations!

You could've easily doubled the mileage/time intervals on most of those.
Perhaps even on the oil changes since you were using synthetic and doing the miles so quickly. Your choice though.
