2008 Yaris LB
I know that the 07 LB hit dealers in March of 06. So when is the 08 Yaris hitting dealers? I ordered mine about a week ago and I already got a call that it was being built and it would be at my dealer by mid may. I hope mine is an 08 considering that it will have the tire pressure monitoring system and maybe some other goodies. If any of you guys have any idea, let me know. Thanks.

Yours will most likely be a 2007. I would guess that '08s wouldn't be delivered until fall '07.

why would you think it would be an 08? just because the 07 had an early release? So yours will be an 07, BTW all cars in the US bought after sept of 07 have TPMS so that is nothing special... I will bet they will not start making the new model year till september or so

For a car to be 2008 it would have to be made after the 06th month of 2007, just look at any used car, if the date made is 07/93, it would be called a 1994 no? correct me if I'm wrong

Quote:
there are no SET guide lines for when a model year ends and one begins, it may end when they run out of parts, or it may start early because they have a new hot design... as for your question about a car made in 07/93, it would depend on the make and model of the car to answer that correctly... when all else fails, check the 10th digit of the VIN

As mentioned before the 08's probably won't come out till the fall.

Look at the new xB2. Those will be in dealers in May.
Then again, are they technically 2008s or 2007s?

sure, but they may make a few minor changes to the specifications, like maybe ABS as standard equipment, stuff like that that people have complained about the current batch.
Maybe... Who knows?

Still have my fingers crossed for a tachometer. That's the one thing holding me back from buying right now (besides being a poor college student =p)
My neighbor brought home a 2008 Lexus rx330/rx350 last weekend. I don't know of any other 08 Toyotas available today. The dealership said it was out early because 2009 would be a major change to the rx line. |
