My next car might be one of three cars

Lexus is-f
Lexus LS460
Cadillac Escalade EXT

I'm here in Australia for three years only (studying)
and as soon as I get back home, I'll buy a decent car

YRX top model is more expensive than a base model Rolla... hmmm

Sounds about right given YRX have alloys and kit etc... a slight advantage over the Rolla base model...

Sort of blurs the line where the Yaris and Rolla stands in pricing eh...

X5...? lol footballer's ride... other than that looks good especially the diesel range... 1000km before refueling.... once the engine is run in...

I absolutely dislike the current beemer series from top to bottom Chris Bangle just messed up the whole damn brand...

Wouldnt mind a Lexus too coz my dad drives a IS200 she's got the pace and the looks plus its very stable when I'm doing 190/km at 4 in the morning.... something my Yaris would give me a heart attack when I went near 140/km once...

Cheers

Speedz .. partially agreeing with you. most Beemers are bad looking now. Other than the X5 andthe recently released series 1 coupe.

i did went to up 160kmph once for about 2 hrs long when i drove from Canberra to Sydney at 4am this april.

TO MY SURPRISE.I USED ONLY one bar from the fuel tank. a big big difference from a tank when i drove at 110kmph in the day time

I'm unlikely to get a Yaris for ages, but I got a quote. Does this sound like a good deal?
• 5 dr Manual Hatch, YRX
• Metallic paint (Caribbean blue)
• Enhanced safety pack
• Dealer delivery, Stamp duty, Registration and CTP
For just under $23 000

Nah...

Try another dealer for a better deal... I think you can at least get them off stamp duty or dealer delivery...

Well dealer delivery was $995, but they put a 'less discount' of $1300 just before the sub total. So that effectively makes dealer delivery and registration free.

That still comes to 23k?

How much is the airbag pack....? 700 bucks? You might want to opt for a sound deadening deal too... coz the car does get noisy...

Yeah it's $750. Looking at the car's RRP on the toyota site, it doesn't look too bad a deal.

I think u got ur self a good deal

try to ask another dealer to see if they can do any better offer

but 23k for a YRX (why not YRS and PIMP the f*** out of it???)

or you can go for a YRS and turbo it

It's all up 2 you mate and the YRX is sweet, but that was only my opinion

That's fair enough. It's because like the YRX interior trim, bodykit and spoiler, the alloys are reasonably nice and it would add up to too much for me to buy all that plus fogs separately then add it myself. I still have plenty of mod ideas to add as I go (aluminium pedals and gear knob, fin/short antanna, Pioneer DEH-P7950UB stereo or similar, gas strut for the bonnet, painting disc brake calipers plus whatever else I can think of to finish it off).

That's cool

if that's waht you are after, than the YRX is the best choice

don't forget to add pics as soon as you get ur car

Yeah I've seen the type R. It looks fantastic to say the least. Reading reviews though, apparently its powerband is high in the rev-range. Bit disappointing if you need to rev the life out of it to get anywhere.

Apparently all VTec engines are like that... more or less same as the VVLi... I saw yellow one in Westend few weeks ago... not bad looking at all...

Goes like a normal 2.0L when u driving it gently and turns to a beast once you revs pass 4000rpm

45k for the civic type-r :D

that's quite alot I think

if I'll pay this much, I'll pay lil' more and buy a presara instead (Luxury freak)

the civic type-r is nice but I'm a toyota fan, and I'll be for ever (I think)
