2011 yaris price increase

"The 2011 Yaris, out in August, will get brake override technology as standard, and the liftback models get sun visor extensions. All models will be upped $250 and will now range in price from $13,615-$15,175".

My 2007 has the extenders, while the nearly identically equipped '09 did not.

Now its a new feature because they droped it for 2 years so they can charge more now.

yeah... those extenders are actually pretty cool when doing long commutes in the summer and the sun is just beating on your face for say 4 or more hours. I only use them about 4 times a year... but they sure help.

I like them too and so I purchased a set w/ extenders from someone here for my '09 5-door LB. The dealer installed them for me free of charge.

Why they removed them in the first place, I don't understand.

Wasn't there a thread that some dealer's cousin's nanny's brother's uncle's stepfather's former roommate said that the Yaris was discontinued for 2011, and everyone was buying into it?
