oil filter change
My boyfriend put Mobil One synthetic oil in my '07 Yaris sedan.
He wants to know if he can remove and replace the oil filter without causing all the engine oil to spill out. Or if it all comes draining out when its removed. Can someone answer this question? Aloha, SmartyPants |

Yes you can just change an oil filter and the only oil that wiil come out is the oil contained in the filter.
This is done all the time. In fact, you should not leave the same oil filter on for the extended life of the synthetic oil. |

thanks for the quick reply
at least Toyota thought about this when they engineered the car
Synthetic should be good for at least 15K but the oil filters probably 7.5K So we will just change the filter at this point Thank you! |
