Thexton 492 spark plug starter . Old plug boot or rubber hose works too. If plug is cross threaded hose will slip

I then bottom it with extension /spark plug socket. I have a 1/4 adapter for 1/4 torque wrench. I spin up and down to make sure plug moves freely and no cross thread. It will feel gritty because of carbon deposits on threads in spark plug hole.

Torque spec is 13 lb ft or 156 inch lbs. I set wrench to 170. I’d rather err slightly tighter than looser. 1/2 turn seated plug gaskets. I actually loosened again and spun plug up and down to again checking for cross thread.. Torqued again this time 1/4 turn til click because gasket on plug was crushed. If the plugs been in a awhile sometimes a 1/8 turn will click.
