How to change plastic cover inside wheel well
Hi folks,
my Yaris hatchback 2007 5-door 64kW 2SZFE had some crash in the past and the front right part was damaged and repaired. Now, after two years, I probably lost a few plastic pins for the plastic cover inside the front right wheel well (sorry, I am Czech, I do not know whether there is some exact English term for this) and the plastic cover dropped onto a weel when driving a freeway. Before I was able to stop safely, there was a big hole brushed through it. I have made a temporary fix using a piece of wire and now I need to order a new one and to replace it. Is there any particular problem with changing that plastic cover or is it just a matter of "wheel off and pull out all the remaining pins"? Then squeezing in the new one and push the pins back? Any experience with PRASCO, KLOKKERHOLM, VAN WEZEL brands? These are the brands available here and I would like to buy something that would fit "as close to OEM as possible". Or I may cover the hole with a load of duct tape and replace the missing pins with wires. That may do it too... Thank you. |
