Radio Install Harness and Kit

Got the 2007 Yaris Liftback here in the US. Want to install and aftermarket radio but need the installation kit. Cannot find one anywhere online or in local car audio shops. Any ideas?

Hey, I have a friend who works for Metra (one of the major installation kit companies), I'll send him this way.

we are working on the kits, since the 3-door and 4-door have different radios, but it won't be out for a while.

Thanks B.

redbluff, you could always, just use the brackets & screws from the OEM unit, it won't look great, but it'll work. I ran like that you a couple of months in my xB

Thanks for the responses. I will have to wait until a kit is out as I want it to look right. I checked on several of the Uk Yaris sites and while there as mention of the radio harness and kit along with pictures and how to do it, the actual dask in their Yaris's is different.

Thanks

My friend has an Xb and it looks to be the same dash kit in the liftback, but I am not for sure on the S Sedan or the regular Sedan.

You are talking about the 2006 Yaris right? As we've had the Yaris in Europe since 1999...

I didn't think that the european dash differed all that much to yours in all honesty

Metra kit #95-8202 is double DIN is what you need for your Yaris. They also carry a single DIN kit. I'm not sure on the part number. SCOSCHE also carries wiring harnesss that are direct pug in to your factory Toyota harness to whatever aftermarket radio/CD palyer you purchased.

they definitely have a kit to fit now :)

When I dropped mine in, nobody had it, ended up with an XA kit... with a little moddage it worked out great.

I can't believe this post would be resurrected. It's about a year old! I'm quite sure the guy has found something by now. I do find it interesting how there were two people with only one post each on this thread.

All I did was go to Best Buy car section, and buy the toyota radio harness, the other part of the harness came with the radio, after that its just plug and connect cables and your set. I believe all harness connections are unique for toyotas. I may be completely wrong. But mine worked perfectly.
